The countdown to Summer Tournament Week 2024 is on.  The week will bring together secondary school students from across the motu to showcase their skills and passion for sports for over 40 events.

The addition of new events like the 3x3 Regional Championships in Basketball adds even more excitement and opportunities for students to compete. Basketball New Zealand along with local associations in Mid-Canterbury (South), Rotorua (Central) and Auckland (North) will be delivering 3x3 Regional Championships.  With the growth of the sport, the events will provide opportunities for students to compete closer to home reducing the costs associated with national events. Six teams per gender qualify from the Northern regionals and three each per gender from Central & Southern, providing 12 teams per gender qualifying for Nationals to vie for the overall top spot.  This will be held in Wellington on 13 and 14 April.
