Tennis New Zealand have opened entries for the 2019 Secondary Schools Teams Finals, including the newly introduced entry criteria for the Championships, and the inaugural Team Cup.

A Team that meets the minimum grading criteria of 3 players S2-S5 in the Boys and Girls, and 4 players S2-S6 in the Mixed, are eligible for entry into the Championships, without the requirement of qualifying through their zones.

Teams that do not meet the above minimum grading can enter in the new Secondary School Team Cup. Boys and Girls Teams in the Cup are 2 players (maximum 3) and has no minimum grading requirement. Mixed Teams are 1 boy and 1 girl player (maximum 2 boys and 2 girls) and has no minimum grading requirement. Schools can put up to two teams in each of the Boys, Girls and/or Mixed division in the Team Cup.
