The countdown is on as schools across New Zealand make their final preparations for an action-packed week of racing at Lake Tikitapu. With record-breaking participation, this year's NZSS Waka Ama Championships promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Due to continued growth, Waka Ama NZ has expanded the event from four to five days to accommodate the surge in entries. This year sees an increase of 55 individual paddlers and 255 more team entries compared to last year! The competition will be fierce, with an incredible 109 teams set to race in the U16 Girls W6 250m event alone.

Get ready for an unforgettable week of paddling, teamwork, and fierce competition on the water!
