Badminton New Zealand (BNZ) are pleased to open entries for 2021’s secondary school badminton calendar. The season is headlined by the Winter Sports Week’s NZSS Badminton Championships, which will see teams from across Aotearoa congregate in Porirua as they seek to be crowned National Champions.

Launching in June, BNZ will deliver the inaugural South Island Secondary School Badminton Cup. Held over two days in Dunedin, the event provides an ideal pathway for schools to challenge themselves regionally, and build towards the future NZSS Championships.

To round out the season, North Harbour, Wellington and Christchurch each host the regional Junior Cups. In an exciting addition, each of the events will host a fun-focused relay event, with students from all schools being mixed into new teams for a day in the ultimate relay format.
