The New Zealand Community Trust

Was established in 1998 to promote amateur sport in New Zealand. The Trust Deed requires NZCT to distribute 80% of available funds to sporting activities.

The New Zealand Community Trust's main aim is to raise funds to promote amateur sport.

The New Zealand Community Trust has a secondary role to raise funds for other charitable purposes - relief of poverty, the advancement of education as well as other purposes that are beneficial to the community. View more information by visiting their website.

Sport New Zealand (Sport NZ)

Is the government organisation responsible for sport and recreation (formerly SPARC).

Sport NZ aims are:

  • more kids playing and enjoying sport,
  • more adults participating and getting involved,
  • and - through High Performance Sport New Zealand - more Kiwi winners on the world stage.

The Lion Foundation
